
Logan Govier District 4
Broken Bow, NE
Logan Govier currently serves as the Chairman for the NDPLC. Logan is a 5th generation farmer in Custer county Nebraska where he farms with his dad and brother. Logan and his wife, Becky have four children ages 6 to 13. Before returning to the family farm, Logan attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln earning a bachelor’s degree in agronomy. He also spent five years as a jet mechanic in the Marine Corps. Logan’s farm has historically grown corn and soybeans but more recently the crop rotation has included yellow field peas and cereal rye to diversify the crop rotation for soil health and pest control. Logan has also served on the FSA Custer county committee for the past 7 years.

Tyler Hughes District 2
Venango, NE
Tyler was appointed to serve his second term on the NDPLC in June of 2023 . Hughes is currently the board’s Vice Chairman. He is the fourth-generation to operate the family farm in Chase and Perkins counties. He farms with his father and sister where they raise hard red winter wheat, corn, proso millet, pinto beans, and yellow field peas. Tyler and his wife, Ellen, live in Imperial and have two children, Nolan and Lainey.

Roland Rushman District 5
Gurley, NE
Roland “Rol” Rushman was born and raised on a farm in Dalton, NE. Rol attended Leyton High School and received a Bachelor degree from UNL in Agri-business. He and his wife Sherri have three children Tyler, Ashley and Carly as well as 8 grandchildren. Rol’s operation consists of a number of crops including yellow field peas, wheat, corn, milo, etc. In 2017, Rol and his son established a seed company to bring yellow pea seed to Nebraska along with certified seed wheat.

Ben raises corn, wheat, soybeans, and dry peas with his brother in the Lodgepole/Chappell area.
