Investing in Innovation
The NDPLC invests check-off dollars into dry pea and lentil research. Many of these funds are used for contracting projects with companies like the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the USDA’s Agricultural Research Service. NDPLC traditionally funds approximately five dry pea and lentil research projects with an emphasis on variety development, nitrogen efficiency, and production improvement.
